As a historian of religion, I work on the intellectual history of premodern and early modern South India. My doctoral dissertation studies the relationship between religion and literature in dualist Vedānta. I am also interested in the reception history of the Mahābhārata epic, and in the theory and practice of translation.
I have taught a range of courses on South Asian religions and Sanskrit at the University of Toronto, the University of British Columbia, and the online platform YogaPhilosophy.
You can see my publications here.
Check out my book, How to Love in Sanskrit (HarperCollins India, 2024), and its reviews by Prof. Victoria Moul, UCL, and Prof. VInay Lal, UCLA.
